DraftSight

DraftSight is a professional-grade 2D CAD product that provides users with a better way to create, edit and view DWG files. It is easy to use and is available for professional CAD users, students and educators to download and activate for free.

DraftSight has a small footprint, generally take just a few minutes to download, and supports Microsoft® Windows XP®, Windows Vista®, Windows® 7 (General Release), Mac® and Linux®** (Mac and Linux currently in Beta).

eDrawings

eDrawings is the free and first email-enabled communication tool that dramatically eases sharing of product design information. eDrawings files supply accurate representations of 3D Models and 2D drawings created with most widely used CAD systems on the market. Drawings Now

Drawings Now is a web service that doesn’t require you or the person you want to share your design with to download any software. It works from any browser.

You can simply upload your DWG, DXF, and SolidWorks Drawings (SLDDRW) files to the Drawings Now site and then email a link to a friend, associate, or client.

BluePrint Now

Before, if you were travelling and sent a DWG file to review, you would require a computer with some kind of viewer/editor for DWG files. BluePrint Now relaxes this requirement, providing you the ability to load and proof from anywhere. We see it as one less thing to worry about when going through airport security.

As long as your computer has an internet connection and is enhanced by Microsoft Silverlight, you can use it to create drafts of your ideas whenever you’re so inspired. In continuation of a concept we introduced with Drawings Now, BluePrint Now will give you space on a secure server to store your drawings. These drawings can be accessed at any time, and by anyone to whom you decide to e-mail a link. Your drawing’s recipients can then review or make changes (whichever you decide) in a web-based collaboration.

SolidWorks Explorer

SolidWorks Explorer is a CAD file management tool designed to help you perform such tasks as renaming, replacing, and copying SolidWorks files. You can show a document’s references, search for documents using a variety of criteria, and list all the places where a document is used. Renamed files are still available to those documents that reference them. Click here to download
